PRODEA GROUP PRESENT THE CHRISTENING CEREMONY OF THE NEW MOBY FANTASY.
The event, starring the world’s largest ferry, took place in Olbia on June 2023.
Moby, after a tender, entrusted Prodea Group with the organisation of the gala evening for the christening ceremony of the new Moby Fantasy, the world’s largest ferry. The inaugural voyage on the Livorno-Olbia line was in fact crowned by a spectacular event on Sardinian soil: at the centre of it all was a marquee of over two thousand square metres, specially erected on Pier 9 of the port of Olbia, next to the ship. Inside the marquee, on the evening of Saturday 17, the great ceremony was organised, with a dinner served for over 600 guests and a thousand surprises.
The hostess of the evening was Sardinian showgirl and actress Giorgia Palmas who, after the speech by shipowner Achille Onorato and the institutions – among others, the President of the Region of Sardinia Christian Solinas and the Mayor of Olbia Settimo Nizzi – presented the end-of-dinner show by the much-loved Neapolitan actor Alessandro Siani. The highlight, after the officers’ parade, was the ribbon-cutting with the champagne bottle, in the presence of a very special patroness: ski champion Sofia Goggia. Immediately afterwards, a great fireworks display started on the seafront, with five floating pontoons specially positioned in front of the pier, which captivated not only the guests but the entire city. Then the magical evening continued with a lot of music: first an overwhelming concert by the Gypsy Kings and immediately afterwards DJ Kalkbrenner, who kept the guests dancing until late into the night with a high-impact electronic DJ set. Prodea Group took care of all the creative management and organisation of the evening, event design, set design, technical direction, videography, the event’s set list and the hostess’ texts, coordination with Da Vittorio’s catering, coordination with all the artists, transfers, and the organisational secretariat
