In 2017 Prodea Group produces THE OPERA!, the first ever major show in the world dedicated to the opera, staged for the first time at the Royal Opera House in Muscat, Oman.
A majestic show, directed by Davide Livermore and with the creative direction of Paolo Gep Cucco, which traces the history of the opera through its most famous arias. An excursus that, through a reinterpretation of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, brings to life the places, the characters of the most famous libretti and the music from the composers who created the great history of the opera, from Puccini to Verdi, from Vivaldi to Rossini.
The show represents a courageous and innovative fusion between an extremely modern staging – with video projections, interactive performances and live orchestra – and the most classical language of opera tradition.
As stated by Paolo Gep Cucco, “we have mixed everything, opera and musical, prose and electronic music, video mapping and acrobatics, updating to modern expressive codes the great spectacular tradition of the Italian Opera”.
